Hearing some noise about Bryce Brown ! This kid would be anoth Spiller type pick up !
He was at the Carolina game and was very impressed . He has been beleived to be a Miami lean, because his brother is a Cane.
But he insists that he doesn't have a favorite. He has sa that he doesn't want to play against is brother. You would think that wouldn't bode well for the Tigers . But being in the opposite division may help here.
I heard earlier that Bryce was very impressed last Saturday. Then another recruiting source has also reported the samthings I'm hearing.
Man ! That would be anawesome get !

I heard that he was impressed also, but I'd be absolutely STUNNED if he didn't go to Miami to play with his brother. The only thing that could help us out is that Miami has a bunch of young RBs. We are less stacked.

He gave Clemson, in my opinion, only a slight squint-eyed look, but to believe he will renege from his commitment to Miami and actually seriously consider coming to Clemson is bordering on insanity! Yes I know we pulled off the impossible with CJ Spiller, and I know we have Dabo and Napier recruiting for us, and I also know that we are no longer burdened by Rob Spence (who may have single handedly wasted one of the best football players in the nation and in Clemson history in CJ Spiller, and may have even hurt us and stained us here for a while!), but I would almost be willing to bet my farm that Brown will not end up at Clemson. I hate to be sounding so negative here, but getting all the recruitniks juices flowing over what would be a HUGE miracle at the very best, is gross negligence in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have him and that would be a CJ Spillerish type of get, but I believe we need to let Bryce Brown go (yet continue to dream about it personally, if that gets your juices flowing!) and look at the few others that may be still out there that are very good RB's, and that Clemson actually and legitimately has a chance for. Once we overcome the Spence/Spiller debacle then Clemson's chances of getting another big-time RB increases. I really believe Rob Spence may have seriously damaged Clemson in the RB department by wasting Spiller, and I believe that Jamie Harper may have left if Spence had stayed, and I really wouldn't have blamed him, yet I believe the future could be great with Dabo and Napier running the show, and Brad Scott in the background. Time will tell, but I also believe next year will be a HUGE recruiting year for the Tigers! Go Tigers!!!

While I doubt that Bryce will be a tiger, I can't see how our streak of RBs is somehow 'stained'. We started with JD and Spiller the year after him. Last year we picked up the #3 and #8 RBs in the country respectively in Harper and Ellington. We have the number 1 overall recruit in SC in McDowel this year. Man, that's really all you can ask for. I never heard the rumors that Harper would leave if RS had stayed. That means a year sitting out and this kid wants to hit the big time ASAP. I'll agree that Spiller could have been used MUCH more efficiently, but he did get over 1700 all purpose yards last year... (not too bad for a 'sophomore slump') and will be way over that this year. Barring injury, Spiller will come out early and probably be a 2nd round draft pick or he will stay and be a 1st round pick. You can't ask much more than that. I see this being a big recruiting plus for the future, not a minus.

We first need to "show" that we know how to utilize these top backs and not "waist" them like we've done under Rob Spence the last three years!

Rivals bumped him to the #1 player in the nation regardless of position. The only RB to do so since Adrian Peterson. Hes a gamer.

He will be a Duck next year. I'd say we have about a 5-10% chance as of now, and maybe... maybe.. increase that to about 40% if we somehow managed to land Tajh Boyd.
