Bryce Brown has announced that he will take an official visit to Clemson !
Why is this such a big deal you may ask.
Bryce Brown is the #1 RB in the nation and most recruiting outlets have him between #2-#4 overall !
Brown is presently commited to Miami. But most think that his commitment was due to his brother being a freshman linebacker for the Canes, and he just wanted to be with his brother.
His dad told him to make the decision that was right for him and not to go to Miami just because his brother was there .
He then reopened his recruitment, and added an official to Clemson.
There is a long way to go,but the Tigers are in the picture!

This is exciting news alright. As DVM said, he's currently committed to Miami and his brother goes there, so getting him to sign with us is an uphill battle for sure. But we've no chance at all unless we get him to visit and that's definately going to happen! Once we get him on campus anything can happen. If we can prove ourselves on the field with an ACCC and Miami remains middle of the pack, we could have a real shot with him. Hopefully we can get him up for a home game...

Can you imagine the "wonderful" challenges our coaching staff would have with this young man on the team in 2009? We would have to figure out who gets the ball each play!

This would be the equivalent of picking up a Daquan Bowers for the offense. Even if he doesn't sign with Clemson, the fact that we are now able to get guys like this to give us a visit shows that the program is on the rise.

I agree. Clemson is becoming less of a regional name and more of a national name, especially at the RB position. CJ and JD have really boosted our recruiting power at that position, with their popularity, flair, and production. Hopefully, Harper and Ellington will keep that good thing going!

Getting this young man on campus is phenomenal and it just keeps giving us exposure. Recruits notice where other recruits are going. Which schools are "cool" to go to...Clemson is rapidly becoming a very "cool" choice and an ACC title would go a long way to cement that.

All that being said, if he didn't sign with Miami, I'd be shocked. This kid is all cane.
