Recruiting must be a real challenge. Sometimes it appears to be a cinch and other times you are surprised by the results. I guess the best you can hope for is that the coaching staff and recruiting coordinator identify their needs and focus on young men that show a genuine interest rather than wasting time on someone that may not work out.
Go Tigers!

While it's great to see the Tigers at 9...I think the better sign is below. Teams on the rise: Clemson...they see the potential for our class to get ranked even higher. If we hit our dream class, that's reasonable. However, I think it's more likely that we'll end up about where we were last year: somewhere in the 10-15 range. Absolutely tremendous for a school that hasn't won any titles of any kind in a LONG time. Staff is doing a stupendous job and they are absolutely working their tails off!

I think we're to the point where we are going to have to have some more success on the field to get much better at recruiting. If we have another season like we had last year (close but no cigar) I can see us slipping down to the high teens. If we win the ACC, I see us holding on to the top 10 class and a Orange Bowl win (even if not for a NC) gets us a top 5. We are to the point where we are going after elite players at nearly all positions. These guys want to play for a NC and at some point we've got to show we can get there before we are going to pull in top 5 classes.

It's a building process. It takes more than one year of top classes and TB is finally getting Clemson into having multi years great classes.
I think the players on the team now are also a big part in getting quality players to Clemson. They are very important when it comes to young men talking among themselves when the coaches aren't around.
If the recruits don't feel the current players are happy they ain't coming to Clemson. But I think the recruits are getting a lot of positive feelilng from our current players.
