Just got some pretty solid info on Boyd. I would NOT expect him to make a visit this weekend as he will most likely be committing to Oregon on Tuesday (press conference day subject to change of course). But pretty much its a done deal, and you can expect Bryce Brown to follow closely behind and become a Duck, although he may wait until signing day.
We are talking about a kid who has decomm'ed twice already so there's no telling what could happen in the next couple of days. I'm not saying 100% we're still out of it, but I feel this is pretty solid info and I think you'll be seeing Boyd commit to Oregon tomorrow.

"we're still out of it"
I thought you were an LSU fan or something with that Geaux in your screen name.
That sucks about Boyd though.

Yeah it sucks. I mean i'm looking at Oregon's QB roster and they have like 2 other QB's that fit the same mode as Boyd...so he'd be a fool to got there. Ohio State would be the better choice for him to get PT early...but unless Prior gets hurt or has such a great year that he leaves after next season...Boyd is gonna sit 3yrs and wait at OSU also. I guess the same is said if he comes here...but i just felt that the QB competiton here would have given him a fairer chance to play for the spot.
Oh well...it's not like he was an initial target we lost...he would have just been a great pick up.... it sucks but hey... we can keep it moving...

Looks like Boyd is having second thoughts again and didn't pull the trigger yesterday as I was informed.

I think this is promising for us, but I'm certainly not making any predictions here. I will say I think if we manage to get Boyd on campus this weekend we have a very very good shot of landing him. He's said himself he likes his chances on our depth chart with Korn being injury prone, Parker having some of his focus on baseball, and neither firmly entrenched as the starter since they haven't had many snaps yet. Early PT will be big for Boyd, as well as offensive scheme which is apparently about to become more of a spread option like you see with Florida, Texas, and somewhat Oklahoma. Tajh "Mahal" Boyd would fit perfectly into that type of Tiger offense. Hope we can get him down here this weekend.
Oh, and CUTigersinDV.... I lived in Louisiana for a while after I graduated from Clemson. Guess some of it stuck with me.

Something else to contend with........
Ohio State fans are grumbling about Boyd's advisor, Tee Martin. Even though Terrell Pryor used Charlie Batch as an advisor, this situation is a little different. Chip Kelley, QB coach and HC in waiting at Oregon, is assuming other duties and therefore there is an opening on the staff. Guess who is interviewing for the job? Tee Martin !! Lots of yelling and gnashing of teeth in Columbus about Oregon offering a package deal.
Hope we get him to visit and then we can complain as well.

Well we didnt get that last one CUD, but I did see pics on rivals of Boyd sitting with C.J. Spiller. Could you imagine the offense with those two plus Kelly, Ford, McNeal, etc. etc. Can you say NO EXCUSES?

I feel like we've been saying that for a while. Am I right or am I right?

Unfortunately you will not see him on the field with Spiller. Boyd must have ACL surgery which will force him to RS. I still believe he is headed to Oregon. Yet I do believe that Clemson came in a very close 2nd!
