I have missed being online much lately, and I apologize.
It's been insanely busy around here !
One thing I am hearing is that things continue to look good with Kendall Kelly !
He isn't exactly a wild card, but I think he may be the signing day bonus !
This year's class is very shallow, but has great talent !
Kelly will help that ranking a lot !

Best to evaluate those kids after four years instead of now. Alot of time those stars/rankings dont mean anything.

Oh well...I say we take our Dozen and call it a day... Good class...my only gripe is Safety wasn't addressed like i hoped it would...Jonathan Meeks is the only one...but i guess considering we signed a few last year we'll be fine. This class was all about adding quality depth....i'll take that

Dabo says in his press conference that D McDaniel is moving back to safety.

Our average "stars" on that page was 3.5. If you look at other teams listed higher than us, they had lower average stars but far more players signed (e.g., Maryland). We only had 15 scholarships and we signed 12. The staff intentionally saved three scholarships. So, in the big scheme of things I am not really worried. Now, if we do not get into the top 25 next year, then I will start to get worried.

Best to evaluate those kids after four years instead of now. Alot of time those stars/rankings dont mean anything. This is true. People make a big deal out of the 4 and 5 star rankings. I looked back at the Gamecocks recruits from a couple years back and some 4 and 5 stars did not even play if they did they sucked 4 star Mike Davis.cough cough 4 star Blake Mitchell Cough cough.just sayin

Its hard to evaluate what a kid does in high school and predict what who will do in college. Its a totally different level so i agree with you xl. Although it does feel good to see 4/5 stars signing with you.

It would be neat to go study what all of these guys did once they got to college. I really wonder what percentage of 4 and 5-star players became "stars" at the college level? Nonetheless, in the absence of any other information, it is nice to see those stars next to a recruits name as briggs pointed out.

The average star rating of players coming out of High School that was taken in this past years 1st round NFL Draft was like 2.3
