Just making sure that no one missed it, but make sure you check the home page for my weekly to bi-weekly blog on recruiting. This past week I posted my take on the top 25 in-state players...in the next couple of days look for the top 25 prospects overall on Clemson's Board.
If you have any ideas or suggestions or things you'd like to see for future blog entries, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Don't tease us man... I read than on the day it came out! LOL.. Just kidding. It was a good read and I'm looking forward to the next update.
Suggestions:
1) I know that you post infrequently on Clemson's Scout site. I'd suggest a kind of "What I am hearing" modeled after their What we are hearing. For those of you that don't know what I'm talking about, it's just an update on recruiting how we are doing with prospects and what Zant thinks our chances are with holding the verbal or gaining a verbal.
2) Pick a spot on the football team (OL and LBs spring to mind) and kind of do a one man debate on what you think of them. A "Here's why Clemson's OL is going to be bad/Here's why they are going to be good" kind of thing followed by your opinion on what the reality will be.
3) I don't know how informed you are on other teams, but I'd be interested in your opinion of Alabama. Strengths and weaknesses... that kind of thing.

tell us who
Boyd the WR from NC is down to. it's stated on another site he's down to 2 schools and uSC is one of them.
I think his name is Boyd and I think he's rated the #7 WR in the Nation and #2 prospect in N.C.
and
Gilmore from South Point, a WR/DB and he's now down to 4 teams. Who are they. Thats being reported on CUTigers

There's a fairly new article on Boyd from Scout. He had a really good time at Florida's Friday Night Lights. From the article, I'd say his top two schools are Clemson and Florida in no particular order. FWIW, he really bitch-slapped FSU, saying their QBs where 2nd rate.
edit: I just went back and reread the article. When asked if Clemson was still leading he said: Oh yeah, I like Clemson lots, and that he liked Florida and Clemson both. BTW USC was not mentioned AT ALL.

thanks Hopeful thats good news
I really would like to get Gilmore also, some say he's headed to USC or Bama
I look at his pictures and think he reminds me of some of the kids we lost to USC in the past, just a picture and who knows about a picture.
but some of those recruits have been problems for USC, if he's got an attitude or wants to be out there getting inot trouble then let him go to USC or BAma. If not and he's a good kid I sure hope he comes to Clemson and become part of the family there and keeps himself out of trouble as the other players for the most part are doing.

LOL, I'm LOVING my scout account now. There was also an article on Gilmore. He has names a top 4: Clemson, USC, Tenn, and Bama. He claimed no favorites. BUT something stood out in that article to me.
1. Devonte Holloman's (teammate and SOLID Clemson commit) name is mentioned in EVERY quote this kid made. 'We should win the State, we were camping together and doing 7v7 drills and lost the championship' and most telling 'Oh yeah, I'll be going down to Clemson lots with Devonte for games'.
2. He also wants to enroll early (just like Devonte).
I'm certainly not saying he's a Clemson lock, but I can't help feeling good about him.

you think the money is worth the information you pay to Scout?

Hopeful: Thanks for the ideas!
Orange Valley: Hopeful pretty much nailed it. You should listen to what he has to say, he is awfully well informed and his opinion should be well-respected.
Boyd: Situation is a bit tricky. He nearly committed to us when he camped with us early in the summer, but held off. Since that time, his "recruiting coordinator" (same guy that is handling Porter, incidentally) has gotten involved. This guy has a man-crush on the Florida schools. Couple that with the fact that he really enjoyed his trip to UF for FNL and you've got some worry. The final piece, is that Porter (mentioned above) nearly committed to the Gators and is really high on them. All of that makes the Gators very, very strong. However, Boyd also has a bit of Flavor of the Week Syndrome; that is, he tends to rate whoever he just visited as his favorite...first NC State, then UNC, then Va Tech, then Florida...but there has been one constant: Clemson. Each time he's mentioned us as a co-leader. Boyd talks to our coaches a lot...he initiates the calls and keeps them in the looop....The staff recently cooled on Sanders, another WR, basically affirming that a) we could get better than Ricco and b) we felt comfortable with 1 or more WR prospects. I'll let you draw your own conclusions, but I think that Boyd is a pretty good Clemson bet...but Florida does have me worried a bit as they have a lot going in their favor.
Gilmore: In constant contact with the staff...he's getting a lot of pressure from his family (mainly father) to look at the SEC and so he's doing it, but if it was Stephon's decision, I think he'd already be a Tiger. Don't let what the others are saying fool you, I think he's appeasing his father. 1) His best friend is a Clemson commit and is now playing on his team. 2) This friend is an early enrollee as is Stephon. 3) They've talked about rooming together. 4) He's going to come to a bunch of Clemson home games and he'll be at our season opener in Atlanta. 5) He plans at announcing his College choice at the state championship game...which just so happens to be in Death Valley. Again, draw your own conclusions...oh, and if you want to really stick it to an SCAR fan, tell them they aren't/won't be his second choice, UT is/will be.
