Posted this on another site in response to questions about these specific guys and I thought I'd share it here as well.

QB Anthony Boone: Very early there, tough to tell if he'll get major interest just yet. We're interested and would like to evaluate more. We're in his very early lead group, but I think he grew up liking the dark side.

QB Chas Dodd: As a Byrnes player, you better believe that Clemson is all over him. They'll know him backwards and forwards. Size could be a limiting factor for him though and may not get an offer, but he is a talented player that I think will get Div 1 interest.

RB Marcus Lattimore: Honestly, I have no idea where he's going to go and I don't think he does either. I do feel that Clemson is no longer in the lead group with him, and we're just on the outside. We could get back in it, but we'll just have to see...

RB Mustafa Greene: Very good shape there and I would peg Clemson as the early leader.

RB James C. White: Clemson is strong there and should be in it until he makes a decision...the only problem is that he'll be a hot commodity and pulling a star from the Big 3 in Florida is always a tough proposition. However, Clemson was on him first and has stepped out with an offer first.

OT Robert Crisp: May be the best OL prospect (not just OT) in the nation next year and will have offers from EVERYbody. However, we really impressed him at the camp and has put at the top. We are in better position than I would have expected at this early stage.

DE Corey Miller: Clemson is in VERY strong shape and I wouldn't think an early verbal is out of the question.

DE/DT Brandon Willis: Ditto...if one falls, the other should be close behind.

DE Dexter Morant: Slight Clemson lean. I think he'll likely end up at Clemson at this very premature stage, but he's not as strong to Clemson as the 2 above.

DE Sydney Sarimento: Unsure if he'll garner an offer or not...he's definitely got the frame and with a strong junior year, he'll get some attention. Having Goodman on our side there certainly doesn't hurt any.

DT Todd Chandler: I don't see this one leaving the state, maybe even the city. Miami Northwestern is good to Miami and Shannon has done a good job of keeping the talent home...he's likely Miami or Florida if they want him.

DT Jeffrey Whitaker: Clemson is in his top 2 with UGA, but I think he'll be an early commit to the Dawgs.

DT AJ Cann: Unless he blows up, I don't think Clemson will offer. He's a solid Div 1 prospect, but I think Clemson can do better.

LB/DE Prince Shembo: Lean to Clemson. I expect us to get involved with him sooner rather than later and we will be the team to beat.

S Alec Ogletree: UGA and Clemson are 1 and 2, but Georgia is one of the toughest states to get someone out of that the Dawgs like. I'd put UGA as his leader.

S/ATH DeAndre Hopkins: Strong Clemson lean and an early commit is not out of the picture. May play basketball as well, but football is his first love.

zan i think you see Marcus Lattimore have USC in the lead until they tank this season then it will end up being a Clemson vs. UGA battle for him in the end...Momma likes Clemson more than UGA from what i have been told.

Also it appears with Lache Seastrunk all but committed to LSU, Lattimore wont get that offer.

Lattimore though tells the reporters things that he isnt telling those close to him.

Clemsontyger04: Welcome to the site! I hope you'll be a regular contributor, especially in the recruiting forum where I hang out!

Regarding Lattimore - It will be interesting to see. I also think this will be a kid that will shop around quite a bit and take a ton of visits. Georgia's depth chart is almost worse than ours at RB. If South Carolina has a terrible season (possible) it may change this kid's mind, but so far...he hasn't seemed to interested in the winning/losing factor. Yes, kids do tend to go to hot schools, but he has a lot of pressure on him right now to go out of state. Furthermore, SCAR has done a masterful hatchet job on Clemson and we are doing our best just to dispell what he's been told. There is a lot of time left on him and he has been so flighty that any projections/predictions on his college choice at this time would be fruitless as he may end up going to a school he's not even listing right now. Honestly, I'm not so worried about him...he's going to be a very good back, but I think he's overrated at this time. He's definitely a top 100 player, but, in my opinion, he's not a 5 star as nearly everyone is projecting.

Thanks Zan i plan on posting here a good bit. I dont claim to have many sources, but with Lattimore I do. He is showing USC love right now because his father and sister are pressuring him, not as much with his father as his sister. I still say that UGA and Clemson will fight for him at the end, but this already has the makings to be one of those kids we lose on national tv to UGA like we did with Harmon.

I think he is a top 100 player, not top 10 though, think he will start out as a 5 star just because of his size and quickness, but after Byrnes plays some TOUGH competition this year there will be holes in his game that are recognized and exploited by other teams.

Welcome aboard CT04. It will be interesting indeed to see what happens with Lattimore. While Harmon did shaft us on TV, we got a bunch of that mojo back by snagging Allen on NSD. That got a ton of press as well. I think UGA will have a stellar year, but it's interesting to note that the SEC's prediction is for FL to win the division... go figure. If UGA gets knocked out by FL and loses another conference game, you could see their recruiting drop a bit (out of state anyway). They need to come through this year even more than we do.

Thanks to all of you for providing this information. I don't have a computer at my apartment so I have to drive to the office. I also don't have access to newspapers with anything about Clemson, so anything new is nice to read. I would really like us to find some LBs, DBs, and WRs; a few OL and DL would be nice too. Okay, I'll admit it. I want us to sign all of the great players and win it all in the next few years!

IF Lattimore goes to USC I think Clemson will be fine at that position. Do you really see him beating out any RB we have, I don't.

I think the thing with him is Clemson would like to get him so USC can't. I think USC would like to get him to say we beat Clemson for a top recruit in SC something they haven't done in a while.

He's a good back but I wouldn't call him great. He plays on a very good HS team and that helps make him also.

Very true OV. We are fine at the position for a 3-4 years to come. The depth is good. Plugging holes in depth at LB and OL should be critical. Also picking up some speedy corners and coverage guys would be a focus, not to mention the DT position. If we can do well here we will be very well off and could be the deepest team in the country in the next few years. If things go the way last year went. As far as Harmon goes he will regret his decision for the rest of his life.
